"Don't worry, all these problems are in the physical world" said one of my go-to electricians to a client during an escrow. And though we chuckled at silliness of the statement, we also couldn't help but agree.
If you are lucky enough to have an inspection contingency in this seller's market, they can be incredibly overwhelming. You are basically hiring professionals to tell you everything wrong with the home you're about to buy.
But it's important to keep it all in perspective and there is always a path forward if the home is right for you. Perhaps you can negotiate a credit, or the seller performs work prior to close, or you simply move forward with a better understand of your new home and the work that you'll want to perform first.
Either way, it's my job to guide you through this process. That includes interpreting reports, connecting you with the right professionals, giving advice, and negotiating on your behalf.
Any questions on how the inspection contingency works? Get in touch - happy to discuss.
