Hello and welcome back! It's been a few months since I wrote my newsletter. I decided to take a short break as we welcomed a new member to the fam in July, Billy Rizzo McCurdy. Born July 27th 2021 - 7lbs 9oz 21in

Thank you to those who noticed my absence! It means a lot and I am happy to be writing again.
Over the summer and through the Fall, the four of us McCurdys were lucky enough to spend a lot of time along the Coast, specifically in Inverness at some of our favorite beaches. It didn't matter it if was getting into evening or if the weather was "bad." We'd quickly pack up the car with some limited essentials and head West. Even if dinner got pushed back or the bedtime routine became a mess, we were always happy we made it out. The fresh air and salty water was worth it. On the cold days, we'd have the beach to ourselves. It seemed like we were getting away with something. Coming into the last quarter of the year, real estate acts similarly. Changing weather, distracted buyers, and the promise of the Spring market are all factors that slow down real estate until about mid-Feb. For buyers, this could be a great opportunity to purchase a home in the "slow" season without too much competition. I am here for you and your real estate needs through the holidays and beyond.

As the year begins to wind down and move into the mid-winter holidays, the market typically slows down as well: The number of new listings declines, to finally plunge in December, with sales volume following one step behind. Of course, buying and selling occur at all times of the year, including in mid-winter, but commonly at a much reduced rate. Note: market seasonality was often upended in 2020 due to the pandemic; more normal seasonal traits seem to have returned in 2021.
