The Crab Feed was a success! 300 patrons from The San Geronimo Valley and beyond came to support the San Geronimo Lions Club in our biggest fundraiser of the year. We had delicious, fresh crab from CA Shellfish, beer donated by Lagunitas Brewery, wine donated by Good Earth, Woodacre and Lagunitas Markets + so many other incredible donations from generous Marin and Valley residents. We were thrilled to discover we raised more than $22,000 dollars - a record for this event! All that money goes directly back to our community for programs at the Community Center, Lagunitas Community School, Toys and Joys + so much more. One thing I love about hosting this event is the way it brings all the generations within this community together. We typically see the older generation at the 5pm seating - some of who have been coming for 30+ years! We also have the 8th Graders from Lagunitas Community school help with set up, break down and serve during the event. In return, we give them a grant (and tips!) for their Civil Rights Trip to Alabama and Mississippi. And of course, there are a mix of parents, neighbors, families and friends that have a chance to get to know each other and have a great time. Thank you again to all who supported this event from near and far. I look forward to chairing it with the Lions next year! |

| Open house visitor numbers have surged, new listings coming on the market are rising, the pipeline of coming soon listings is filing up faster than last year, and the number of homes going into contract is expected to climb rapidly as the marekt wakes up. With dramatic improvements since October in interest rates, stock markets and consumer confidence, both buyers and sellers are re-engaging to a much great degree, and the velocity of the market is accelerating. However, even as listing inventory begins to rise, it remains very low compared to pre-pandemic norms, and a common seasonal dynamic early in the new year has been for buyers to jump back in faster and in greater numbers than sellers with new listings - especially if buyer demand was repressed in the previous year and econonmic conditions have rebounded. |
