While things have been uncertain and heartbreaking, there has also been opportunity for incredible growth and change within ourselves, our communities and nation-wide. The strong resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement has pushed us all to look at our own privilege, learn empathy and be inspired to act. I, along with so many others, have pushed myself to learn more and contribute more to these causes. And though we have a long way to go, it has been wonderful to see how much progress can be made when we come together and support each other.
As a Compass agent, I donate a portion of my commission with every sale to a charitable cause. For the remainder of the year, I will donate to Play Marin - a nonprofit organization that brings together kids from all backgrounds to play sports and have fun.
Along with continuing support for Black Lives Matter, we are celebrating Pride this month. Happy belated Father's Day too, dads. And remember to wear your masks.

Generally speaking, Marin County market activity – as measured by the number of listings going into contract – continued to pick up rapidly in May, bouncing back from the steep plunge following the first shelter in place orders. However, activity in May, which is typically among the busiest selling months of the year, remained below May 2019 (except for the higher price segment, in which activity soared in May). With the easing of shelter in place, as well as the market learning to adjust to new circumstances, it is expected the recovery will continue to increase closer to normal. In fact, based on the strength of buyer demand, some analysts believe the coming months may be busier than in 2019, as sales activity that would have occurred in spring gets pushed into the summer instead.
